If I get a dude in a field dressed up in Sunday best, every creative bone in my body freezes.
I see family sessions as incorporating a piece of what you love into the mix. And in this family’s case… Jason’s beloved Falcon was the winner. Think Australiana…
Does creativity evolve from trauma? Read the interview with Nirrimi Firebrace talking vulnerability, mojo and being understood.
Do I love posey newborn photos? I’m going to be honest here, it’s a hard no. That’s cool if you do, but it’s not for everyone.
So when Kirianna contacted me asking to photograph their newborn girl Alba while incorporating their vintage Kombi they had travelled in around Australia, at an outdoor location, It was a big fat HECK YES from me!
Eventually we made our way inside where the walls, floor, cupboards, ceilings, cornices, curtains, furniture, appliances….. and every single other nook had character. Just like it’s owners.
The kids did their thing and showed me the rooms and hung out, Dad sat at the table with a cuppa and Marrissa cruised around like the queen she is.
I’m going to be honest, I don’t LOVE taking photos at the beach. With so many places to play outside and interesting landscapes, it can get tiresome photographing the same thing over and over again. Congo lines, good crew, bare feet, and a whole lot of fiesta fun in a backyard is what shook up the little New Brighton in October 2017. Sarah and Dan couldn’t be a more real and genuine pair who had their wedding day focused on their family of four, the people who surround them and FUN. Man […]
To say that i’ve worked my toosh off to get to get where i’m at now would be an understatement. But it’s days like today specifically that fill me with so much heart felt good vibes and frolic in a field kind of glee that put everything, and all of those late nights into perspective. […]
It all began when I met Kirby on the job. She was the stylist for Children of the Tribe and we would spend our days with her making things look amazing and me there to photograph it, while chatting and laughing way too much over all things life.. Kirby liked my style and I liked hers, […]
There is nothing quite like those last days as a family of three.. Cherished, sentimental, yet filled with excitement of what’s to come. I’m in love with this family and maternity shoot with Claire, Andy and Poppy as they near the welcoming of Daisy Mae into their world. Even more so when the family embraces me […]
I am so excited to share these pics from this session. I’ve wanted to photograph Amy and her family for ages. It was when she first moved over to the Byron Hills from Perth that I noticed her. A Doula, not just by trade but by heart (see for yourself at Earth Bound Babies), I […]
