Do I love posey newborn photos? I’m going to be honest here, it’s a hard no. That’s cool if you do, but it’s not for everyone.
So when Kirianna contacted me asking to photograph their newborn girl Alba while incorporating their vintage Kombi they had travelled in around Australia, at an outdoor location, It was a big fat HECK YES from me!

I LOVE maternity sessions. Just you and your bump or your bump and your loves. Maybe you haven’t felt the bet in this transition, maybe you’ve felt like a goddess… Either way I can guarantee you that this time, the place where you grew a human being, is so special to look back on. No regrets for images that show the way your body did what it did like an absolute Queen!

The long drive keeps going, the hill continues to climb to the peaks of it’s rolling neighbours. The air is damp and the kangaroos jump through the fog as they hear the roar of my diesel car pulling its weight. Squeals of delight leave my mouth in high decibels as I pull up to the top and the 360 degree views on this private property are filled with glorious, glorious fog… So much fun to play with as a Photographer.

As Stephanie walked in the door that day, she literally took my breath away. I knew she was the perfect fit when I approached her to model for us but every bit of alignment happened on that day when she swanned in, churning deep realisations and change within the group. There was smooching amongst the petals, fierce breastfeeding and tender bath moments to make your ovaries quiver.

Did you know that Instagram recently introduced automatic alternative text? Yeah, me either. With more than 285 million people in the world with visual impairments, this is a game changer. This is needed and… It only seems fair.

So what is alternative text? It’s where the feature uses object recognition to generate a description of a photograph, so that the screen reader tells a visually impaired person the items in a photo. Pretty cool huh?

Eventually we made our way inside where the walls, floor, cupboards, ceilings, cornices, curtains, furniture, appliances….. and every single other nook had character. Just like it’s owners.
The kids did their thing and showed me the rooms and hung out, Dad sat at the table with a cuppa and Marrissa cruised around like the queen she is.

Maybe you’ve seen her around the traps.. She is effortlessly calm, incredibly present and actively living one heck of a conscious lifestyle. Her name is Luna, and she lives a successful, zero waste life with her family in Byron Bay.

Rich warm hues tickled the tanned skin of these golden haired girls as we played in Byron Hinterland’s delicious long grass. There is something so freeing about this setting, like absolutely nothing else in the world mattered at that point in time.. Barefoot, and carefree. It only enhanced their spirits and calm their souls.. A location perfectly suited!

Recently I asked members of the Love Her Wild Presets Facebook group to submit their favourite backlit images edited with the Golden Days Pack to be featured on the blog. Stunning, golden, warm and sun drenched unique images came flooding in and below is a selection of just some of the beauty!
